Phosphor, No Compromise Lighting Optimization

Phosphor is an open source Minecraft mod that improves one of the game’s most demanding systems, its lighting engine. It rewrites light propagation logic, reduces duplicated updates, and batches calculations more efficiently, helping lower CPU usage during world generation and large building operations.

Designed as a minimal optimization, Phosphor keeps vanilla lighting behavior and the existing light model intact. It works on both the client and server, and a Minecraft server can use it without requiring every player to install the mod.
