Gravestones adds a practical safety net to Java Edition by creating a gravestone whenever a player dies. Your items are stored at the death location instead of scattering immediately, letting you return and recover them through a right click, by stepping on the grave, or by breaking it, depending on the chosen settings.

Designed for both client and server, the mod offers extensive configuration for retrieval behavior, activation, experience retention, and whether recovered items return to your inventory or drop nearby. Its developer friendly API supports custom inventories from other mods, while craftable, renameable gravestones can also enhance builds.
