Game Stages, a progression API

Game Stages is a Forge mod and API that gives modpacks a flexible way to track player progression. It stores named stages as individual true or false flags for each player, then saves and synchronizes that data between the server and clients. Stages are not limited to a linear order, making them suitable for quests, RPG classes, skills, branching objectives, or different pack modes.

Game Stages does not change gameplay by itself. Compatible addons and other mods use unlocked stages to restrict recipes, items, mobs, dimensions, or mechanics. On a Minecraft server hosted with BoxToPlay, it helps create structured progression and more engaging multiplayer experiences.
