EarlyStage, a slower Minecraft beginning

EarlyStage is a Fabric mod that reshapes the first moments of survival with a more grounded progression. Logs can no longer be collected by hand, so players must first obtain flint and craft simple tools, including a flint axe. Leaves provide sticks, while small rocks appear naturally in forests, encouraging careful exploration before reaching the usual crafting stage.

The mod also adds a crafting rock and a sieve for processing blocks such as dirt or sand. Sieve results can be customized with a datapack, making EarlyStage flexible for modpacks and a Minecraft server. At BoxToPlay, we recommend it for survival experiences that value discovery and gradual progress.
