Developer’s note: Ever wished that instead of hatching your dragon egg into a magnificent mount, you could hatch it into a draconic pet Axolotl? No? Well, here it is anyway.

Dracolotl, a Dragon Egg Pet Mod

Dracolotl is a Minecraft mod that transforms the Ender Dragon egg into an adorable yet powerful draconic axolotl. Rather than gaining a traditional mount, you hatch a loyal companion that bonds with you and can follow you into battle or remain at home like other pets.

Inspired by axolotl behavior, the Dracolotl breathes underwater, plays dead when badly hurt, and grants Strength to itself and its owner after recovering. It can also fly, provide Dragon’s Breath through interaction, and rarely create another Dragon Egg when fed a Chorus Flower. With support for Forge and NeoForge, it adds a playful companion to any Minecraft server, and BoxToPlay makes the server experience easy to enjoy.
