Distant Horizons API for Developers

The Distant Horizons API is a developer library for creating Minecraft mods that communicate with Distant Horizons. It provides stable interfaces for checking mod and API versions, handling events, reading or changing configuration values, accessing terrain data, and extending world generation or rendering. The API is intended for Java Edition mod development across supported loaders, not for regular players.

This separate Modrinth entry is already included in the main Distant Horizons mod jar, so downloading it independently is unnecessary. Developers can use it to improve compatibility and build richer integrations for a Minecraft server or modpack. At BoxToPlay, we present it as a technical component rather than a gameplay mod.
