Companion is a lightweight Minecraft mod for Java Edition that protects tamed animals from the most frustrating ways to get lost, while keeping the familiar vanilla experience. Pets and leashed mobs can follow you through portals, teleport safely when chunks unload, and return to you when they fall too far behind.
The mod also adds thoughtful safeguards: pets with low health stop attacking, may teleport behind you, and sweeping attacks no longer harm them. A pet friendly fire game rule offers extra control for cooperative play.
