Common Network, Unified Minecraft Networking

Common Network is a technical library mod for Minecraft Java Edition that standardizes packet registration and dispatch across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, Quilt, and Paper. It is designed mainly for developers creating projects that support several platforms, including those using Jared’s MultiLoader Template.

By moving shared networking logic into a common module, it keeps mods more consistent and easier to maintain. Its protocol can let a Forge client communicate with a Fabric server, or connect across other supported platforms, although developers must provide their own handshake when connection gating is required. For a Minecraft server, it provides a useful foundation for cross loader communication, while BoxToPlay makes its setup simple.
