Born in a Barn is a lightweight Forge mod for Minecraft Java Edition that repairs a vanilla issue involving village doors. Under certain conditions, these doors could cause chunks to remain loaded long after players had left the area, gradually creating unnecessary resource usage and performance problems.
Designed for legacy versions from 1.7.10 through 1.12.2, the mod works server side and in singleplayer worlds. It adds no new content, but helps keep chunk activity under control, making it a useful optimization for a modded Minecraft server. At BoxToPlay, we recommend it for older packs built around villages and automation.
