Eugene’s Whistle & Spur, a practical horse datapack

Eugene’s Whistle & Spur is a Minecraft datapack for Java Edition that makes horse travel more responsive and immersive. Press H to whistle and call a saddled horse. It neighs, briefly highlights itself, finds its way toward you, and can move closer when distance or unloaded terrain would otherwise prevent it from following.

While riding, press H again to use the spur mechanic. Your horse takes slight damage but gains a temporary speed boost, with two acceleration levels available. Compatible with Minecraft 1.20 through 1.20.4 and designed for client and server use, it adds a lively western touch to any Minecraft server. BoxToPlay makes the experience easy to enjoy.
