Craftable Gunpowder is a lightweight Minecraft datapack that adds a practical alternative to obtaining gunpowder. Instead of relying only on Creeper drops, players can use familiar materials already available during survival gameplay. The recipe is designed to remain simple, accessible, and close to the vanilla experience.
Combine one coal or charcoal, one sand, and one gravel to create three Gunpowder. This makes TNT, firework rockets, and other explosive items easier to produce, especially in peaceful or resource focused worlds. Compatible with Java Edition versions from 1.20.x through 1.21.1, it works smoothly on a Minecraft server through BoxToPlay.
