MoneyThief, a death driven server economy

MoneyThief is a Bukkit plugin for a Java Edition Minecraft server that turns deaths into a financial risk and combat into a possible source of income. When one player kills another, the plugin can transfer a configurable percentage of the victim’s balance to the killer, while another percentage may disappear from the economy entirely.

It also rewards players for killing mobs, with individual values adjustable for each creature. The /moneythief worth command displays configured mob prices, while permissions can exclude selected players from player versus player penalties. At BoxToPlay, we see it as a simple way to make survival and PvP more tense.
