DeathPackage, permission based inventory protection

DeathPackage is a Bukkit plugin for a Minecraft server that softens the consequences of player deaths. It saves part of a player’s inventory when they die, while the remaining items can continue to follow the server’s normal death rules. Access is controlled through permissions, allowing administrators to offer different levels of protection to selected ranks or players.

Designed for older Bukkit environments, the plugin has published files for Minecraft 1.10, 1.8.1, and CraftBukkit 1.7.9. At BoxToPlay, we see it as a simple way to add progression friendly death mechanics without removing the risks of survival gameplay.
