Not Enough Recipe Book is a Minecraft Java mod designed to completely remove the vanilla recipe book, rather than merely hiding its button. It also removes recipe names from player data, making it especially useful in large modpacks where thousands of recipes can increase saved data and processing overhead.
NERB can improve the handling of player data by CraftTweaker and KubeJS, speed up synchronization between the client and server, and help players join a Minecraft server faster. Configurable modes support full removal, disabled functionality, automatic recipe discovery, or integration with JEI, REI, and EMI. It supports Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and Quilt, and is designed for both client and server use. Our BoxToPlay experience makes this optimization a practical choice for modded gameplay.
