Guard Villagers is a Minecraft mod for Java Edition that gives villages reliable protection against zombies, raids, and other hostile threats. Guards appear in groups, carrying iron swords or crossbows, while unemployed villagers and nitwits can become defenders when equipped with a suitable weapon.

You can provide armor, shields, food, potions, or improved weapons through their inventory. Guards may patrol designated areas, stand watch, and, with Hero of the Village, follow you into combat.
