The Butcher’s Nails is a Minecraft Java Edition datapack that reworks creature drops to make hunting far more rewarding. Most living creatures that have skin, or logically provide leather, can now drop leather and bones, giving exploration and combat a darker survival purpose.

Loot scales with the Looting enchantment, while selected mobs can provide fitting extra rewards, including villagers, wandering traders, and piglins. With broad coverage across the game’s living creatures, this datapack changes resource gathering without adding complex systems, making every encounter more valuable on a Minecraft server.
