The Fast Leaf Decay project exists both as a Spigot plugin optimized for Folia and as a lightweight Fabric mod that makes leaves disappear almost instantly once tree logs are removed. It speeds up the vanilla decay rules instead of adding complex logic, which keeps performance stable even on large survival or skyblock worlds.
