NameColors is a Java Minecraft plugin that lets a server assign custom colors to player names. Using scoreboard teams and permissions, it updates names consistently in chat, above players’ heads, and in the tab list. Colors can be linked to ranks, while optional integrations support LuckPerms prefixes and suffixes and EssentialsX nicknames. Administrators can also enable a health display or let players toggle a glow matching their assigned color.
Designed for Minecraft versions 1.8 through 1.18, the plugin is now abandoned and may leave scoreboard data behind when removed. At BoxToPlay, we recommend considering its maintenance status before using it on a production Minecraft server.
