DisplayItem is a lightweight Java plugin for a Minecraft server that lets players share the item in their hand directly through chat. By writing [item] in a message, a player can present the held item to other users, making trades, sales, and quick item checks more convenient without dropping anything.

The plugin offers configurable chat and item formatting, permissions for using the feature, a cooldown to limit repeated shares, and an administrative reload command. It was tested mainly with Minecraft 1.8 and is explicitly abandoned, so BoxToPlay recommends treating it as legacy content for older server setups rather than expecting ongoing updates.
