bPermissions is a historic Bukkit plugin that manages access rights through Bukkit’s SuperPerms system. It lets server administrators organize players into groups, assign permission nodes, define inheritance, and control permissions per world. Prefixes, suffixes, promotion and demotion tracks, and group priorities support structured ranks for a Minecraft server.
Its distinctive command syntax is designed for quick administration from chat or console, while an optional GUI client simplifies management. Later releases added UUID support and an optional bPermissible layer for direct permission checks. Prefixes and suffixes require a compatible chat plugin to appear in messages. At BoxToPlay, we present it as a practical legacy tool for classic Bukkit communities.
