Totem in a Barrel is a Java server plugin and mod that recreates the famous totem stasis trick seen around Unstable SMP and Unstable Universe. A player places a named totem in a barrel, then, when their held totem activates, the stored totem is consumed if the barrel’s chunk is loaded. This removes the barrel’s redstone signal.

Connected to a redstone mechanism and an ender pearl stasis chamber, that signal change can open a trapdoor and teleport the player away immediately after a totem pop. Configurable behavior lets server owners control activation and whether only the final totem is consumed. BoxToPlay makes this powerful escape system convenient for a Minecraft server.
