Protectcord is a server side Minecraft plugin that helps protect a Minecraft server from suspicious connections. It sends each player’s IPv4 or IPv6 address to the ProtectCord API, which checks for VPN, proxy, Tor, datacenter, and other risk indicators before access is granted. Administrators can define blocking thresholds, review risk levels, and whitelist trusted players, UUIDs, or addresses.
Asynchronous checks help keep the main thread responsive, while optional Discord notifications report denied or suspicious joins. With support for Paper, Spigot, proxies, and other Java server platforms, our BoxToPlay team presents Protectcord as a practical security layer for multiplayer communities.
