VillagerNames is an early Bukkit plugin for a Java Edition Minecraft server that gives villagers personal names from a configurable word list. Its original release included around 170 medieval names and could assign different lists according to each villager’s profession, adding character to trading halls and villages.
Lightweight and simple to manage, the plugin also offered commands to rename the villager in your sights or randomize every loaded villager, with /vn as a convenient alias. It supported third party professions and required no dependencies. At BoxToPlay, we recommend it for classic server setups seeking a small but memorable immersion feature.
