Realistic Torches is a survival focused Minecraft server plugin that makes ordinary lighting temporary. After a configurable period, placed torches go out and become redstone torches, or can be replaced with air through the configuration. This makes exploration, mining, and base security more demanding while encouraging players to seek dependable light sources.

The plugin also supports permanent torches, with a configurable recipe and optional permission control. Players can relight unlit torches using flint and steel or a fire charge, while creative mode torches may remain permanent.
