HChat is a Bukkit plugin designed to give a Minecraft server a consistent, customizable chat experience. It can format player messages, display names, player list names, join and leave messages, death notices, MOTD text, private messages, and me output, using colors, formatting codes, variables, and group based settings.

Beyond presentation, HChat supports chat channels, ranged conversations, AFK features, word censoring, and optional Vault integration for permission groups. Administrators can create separate formats for groups and channels, while variables can show worlds, locations, prefixes, and other player information.
