CPFix is a legacy Bukkit plugin designed to correct character encoding problems affecting Windows consoles and older Minecraft clients. Originally focused on Cyrillic text, it can be configured for other code pages and character sets.
It repairs text in chat, commands, signs, books, item names, and lore, while also supporting recoding for the console, server logs, and console input. Its configurable character mapping and permission controls make it useful for maintaining readable communication on older Minecraft server versions. At BoxToPlay, we present CPFix as a specialized compatibility tool for legacy setups, with support documented up to Minecraft 1.10.
