Climbable Chains is a Minecraft Java Edition datapack that turns hanging chains into functional climbing blocks. Move against a chain and hold the climb key to ascend it just as you would use a ladder, while keeping the original chain appearance and decorative purpose.

This simple gameplay tweak is ideal for towers, mineshafts, bridges, dungeons, and industrial builds where ladders would look out of place. It adds vertical mobility without mods or resource packs, making exploration and construction feel more natural.
