Gather as many resources as possible on the surface before nightfall, then descend beneath a gravel patch and try to survive underground for as long as possible. The experience combines exploration, resource management, and challenge objectives, with death ending the run after one life.
Its deliberately retro rules remove hunger, sprinting, shields, enchanting tables, and torch use, while food restores health instantly. Dark, irregular caves and frequent dangers make every decision important. A few new features complement the beta mechanics.
