New Gods adds a player driven religion system to a Minecraft server. Players can create personal gods, establish altars, pray to gain faith, and invite others into their religion. God leaders can promote priests, manage followers, and set a shared home, giving communities a clear social structure.

Faith can be spent in a god shop to obtain useful items or temporary blessings, including fire resistance, water breathing, speed, regeneration, and night vision. Sacrificing selected items or mobs increases favor, while configurable punishments, prayer delays, prefixes, marriages, and teleport features add roleplay depth.
