Too Cheap! is a Java Edition utility mod that removes Minecraft’s “Too Expensive!” anvil restriction. It raises the default forty level limit to Java’s maximum integer value, allowing players to combine enchanted books, repair equipment, and build advanced gear without being blocked by an arbitrary cap. Normal anvil costs and their progressive scaling remain unchanged by default, so the experience stays close to vanilla while making long term equipment planning far more flexible.
Designed for Fabric and Quilt, the mod supports server use and can be configured for the maximum level cost, anvil damage chance, optional cost cap, and cost increase rate. Our BoxToPlay Minecraft server experience makes this quality of life improvement easy to enjoy.
