Developer’s note: Spawns a chest when the player dies in buildable regions

Death Chest, Safe Recovery After Death

Death Chest is a Java plugin for a Minecraft server that creates a chest containing a player’s dropped items when they die. This keeps valuable equipment together instead of scattering it across the ground, making recovery clearer and less frustrating while preserving the consequences of death.

The plugin works only in buildable regions, with support for WorldGuard, PlotSquared, RedProtect and GriefPrevention. A hologram can show the remaining lifetime above the chest, while optional ProtocolLib support adds a block break animation and PlaceholderAPI enables custom placeholders. Our BoxToPlay team recommends it for survival servers seeking a practical, configurable death recovery system.
