DisableMobs, precise creature control

DisableMobs is a lightweight Bukkit plugin that lets server administrators decide exactly which Minecraft creatures may spawn. Its configuration includes the supported creature names, with a simple true or false value for each one. This makes it easy to keep zombies, creepers, blazes, or other selected mobs out of a Minecraft server while preserving the rest of the gameplay.
