CustomSkins for Minecraft servers

CustomSkins is an unmaintained Spigot plugin for older Java Edition servers, designed to change the visible skin of any player without changing their account skin. Players can see the new appearance while the original name above the character remains unchanged.

Administrators can apply a player’s skin, prepare skins from online URLs, reset appearances, and reuse cached skin data to reduce repeated requests. It supports configurable commands and permissions, but depends on legacy server versions and companion libraries, so BoxToPlay presents it as a solution for compatible, classic setups rather than modern Minecraft server networks.
