Underlay, place blocks inside shared spaces

Underlay is a Minecraft mod that lets you place carpets and other supported blocks beneath objects with available space, such as chests, beds, signs, torches, and upside down stairs. This creates cleaner builds and more detailed decorations without changing the surrounding structure.

By default, carpets, trapdoors, buttons, rails, slabs, and pressure plates can act as overlays. Right click to place or replace one, then left click to remove it. The feature works in Survival and supports client and server play with Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge. BoxToPlay makes this practical for creative building on your Minecraft server.
