Improved Starters for Pixelmon

Improved Starters is a Minecraft datapack created for Pixelmon that gives starter Pokémon a more distinctive and competitive role. It reworks selected final evolutions across Generations 1 through 9, including Hisuian forms, by changing abilities, adding secondary types, and expanding learnsets with moves such as Draco Meteor, Aura Sphere, Boomburst, and Stone Edge.

Designed for a more varied Minecraft server experience, it makes team building and later battles feel less predictable without replacing Pixelmon’s core systems. The pack supports Minecraft 1.21.1, and our BoxToPlay server setup makes it easy to enjoy these enhanced starters with friends.
