RpgEssentials is a legacy Bukkit plugin that adds a complete role playing framework to a Minecraft server. It combines character leveling, experience progression, quests, NPCs, custom items, blocks, stores, banking, regions, and a configurable world generator.

Designed for older CraftBukkit versions, it also includes optional texture support and several gameplay modules that can be enabled separately. The project’s last listed release dates from February 9, 2015, so compatibility is limited to legacy environments.
