BiomeSpy, faster biome searches

BiomeSpy is a server side performance mod for Minecraft Java Edition that rewrites the search routines behind /locate biome and Nature’s Compass. By using five height independent world generation noise functions, it greatly reduces the calculations needed to find biomes while preserving accuracy, including for cave biomes.

Biome searches can take up to 97% less time, while structure searches may become up to 90% faster. The mod leaves world generation unchanged, needs no configuration, and supports TerraBlender and Alex’s Caves biomes. For a smoother Minecraft server experience, our BoxToPlay setup makes it especially useful in large modpacks and exploration focused worlds.
