iTags is a Bukkit plugin that makes communication more noticeable by letting players mention others with a simple symbol, usually @, followed by a name. It works in chat and on signs, while shortened names can automatically resolve to the correct full username.

Server administrators can customize the tag symbol, colors, and notification sounds for chat and sign mentions. Tagged players may also receive the sign’s message as a notification.
