GeoIPTools is a developer focused Bukkit plugin that exposes an API for querying MaxMind GeoIP databases from other plugins on a Minecraft server. It supports country, city, and IPv6 databases, allowing server tools to enrich player connection data with geographic information.

The library can download and update databases automatically, or use administrator supplied files and a custom source. Databases load only when requested, helping reduce unnecessary work. It also offers configurable update timing, built in Bukkit permissions, and the Apache License 2.0. Its final listed release targets CraftBukkit 1.4.7, so BoxToPlay presents it as a legacy integration for older server setups.
