SkinLoader is a Bukkit plugin and developer API designed to manage player skins, profiles, and nicknames on a Minecraft server. It was created for networks with several minigames, allowing players to select different appearances and keep their chosen skins across connected game modes.
The plugin includes skin and profile managers, user methods for changing appearances, MySQL support for storing data, and an integrated nick system. It can also notify scoreboard or tablist systems when a player’s identity changes. Our BoxToPlay team recommends viewing it as an older solution, mainly intended for Minecraft 1.8 versions rather than modern releases.
