PVP Flight, fairer aerial combat

PVP Flight is a legacy Bukkit plugin designed to prevent flight from giving players an unfair advantage during combat. When a flying player is hit, or attacks another player, the plugin can revoke flight, including creative flight, depending on the configured combat direction.

It distinguishes melee and projectile damage, with separate permission based bypasses for incoming and outgoing attacks. This makes it useful for a competitive Minecraft server that allows flight outside combat while keeping arenas and survival encounters balanced. Our BoxToPlay team presents it as a focused, lightweight gameplay control for older Bukkit environments, documented for CraftBukkit 1.5.2.
