Blockixel’s Amethyst Shield

This Minecraft datapack for Java Edition 1.20.5 and 1.20.6 transforms a regular shield into a versatile amethyst tool inspired by Blockixel Artistry. Its paired resource pack provides the matching visuals, while the gameplay additions suit survival adventures and any Minecraft server managed through BoxToPlay.

Craft the shield, then charge it by sprinting, jumping, or blocking attacks. A charged shield can block falls, help you reach higher areas, dash forward, blast nearby foes while crouch blocking, and increase damage after a dash. Continued charging supercharges the shield, allowing abilities to activate twice. Damaged shields can also be healed with budding amethyst.
