PingPlayer is a lightweight utility plugin for a Minecraft server that makes connection latency easy to check through a simple command. Players can use /ping to view their own response time, while authorized users can add another player’s name to inspect someone else’s ping. This helps distinguish network issues from genuine server performance problems, especially when gameplay feels delayed despite healthy TPS.

Designed for Spigot and compatible with many Bukkit versions, the plugin uses the PingPlayer.use permission to control access. Its configuration includes an optional updater setting, while anonymous usage statistics may be collected through bStats.
