FleshZ, a more immersive leather system

FleshZ is a Fabric mod for Minecraft Java Edition that reworks leather production instead of simply adding another rotten flesh recipe. Animals that normally drop leather provide hide, which must be treated with sugar and dried on a wood rack before becoming leather. Rotten flesh can also be combined into rotten leather, then dried into hide, giving zombie loot a practical purpose.

Designed for client and server play, FleshZ adds a slower, more believable resource loop that makes survival and leather farming more engaging. Our BoxToPlay team recommends it for a Minecraft server seeking balanced progression, useful preparation steps, and a light touch on vanilla gameplay.
