Better Lush Caves

Better Lush Caves is a Minecraft datapack for Java Edition that enriches the lush cave biome without replacing its vanilla identity. It improves underground generation with rooted dirt, grass patches, flowers, lily pads, coal below Y 0, bees and bee nests, while adding decorative elements to lush aquifers, including moss, clay, dripleafs, sand, glow lichen and seagrass.

Spore blossom particles can appear throughout the biome, azalea trees generate more naturally near open skies, and moss receives useful bonemeal interactions that may create glow lichen, spore blossoms and cave vines. On a Minecraft server, these subtle changes make exploration more lively and reduce hostile mob spawns. We at BoxToPlay offer this datapack for a richer underground experience.
