Developer’s note: Come see where it all started. This 1.2.5 pack was used in conjunction with the FTB Pyramid challenge, a map designed to test a user’s knowledge of Minecraft mods. Start your adventure, build everything from nothing, and try to feed the beast.

FTB Retro SMP, a classic multiplayer challenge

FTB Retro SMP is an official Minecraft server modpack designed to recreate the early Feed The Beast challenge experience on Minecraft 1.2.5. Built around the iconic FTB Pyramid map, it tests players’ knowledge of technical mods such as BuildCraft, IndustrialCraft 2, Equivalent Exchange 2, Forestry and RedPower 2. The pack is focused on multiplayer progression, with clear objectives, resource management and automation puzzles that reward planning and teamwork. By running this modpack with BoxToPlay, we offer communities a nostalgic, demanding and cooperative journey that captures the spirit of classic modded Minecraft gameplay.
