Dead Souls, a Dark Souls inspired death system

Dead Souls is a lightweight Minecraft server plugin for Spigot that makes player deaths less punishing without placing chests or altering the terrain. When someone dies, it gathers their dropped items and most of their experience, 90 percent by default, into a soul at the death location.

The soul can be recovered by walking over it, with sounds helping players locate it. Protection initially limits access to the owner, then other players can collect it after a configurable period. Souls can remain indefinitely, while permissions and the /souls command provide additional control. Our BoxToPlay servers make this experience easy to enjoy.
