Better Craftables is a Java Edition datapack that expands the vanilla recipe system with useful crafting and smelting options. It adds recipes for items such as coral blocks, bells, cobwebs, gravel, soul sand, and pottery sherds, while also offering alternative ways to create recovery compasses, sticky pistons, dyes, minecarts, and other familiar items.

The datapack also simplifies several vanilla recipes, supports recoloring for blocks such as candles, concrete, glass, and terracotta, and lets players smelt raw ore blocks more efficiently. On a Minecraft server hosted with BoxToPlay, it improves survival progression without replacing the classic gameplay style.
