What’s new at BoxToPlay: statistics and plugin catalogs

When running a server, two needs come up again and again: quickly understanding what is happening and finding the right content without searching across multiple sites. This BoxToPlay update was built around those needs, introducing a comprehensive statistics dashboard, richer plugin catalogs, and several streamlined workflows in the control panel.

This update enhances our entire ecosystem. Minecraft, BungeeCord, Velocity, and TeamSpeak gain real-time monitoring tools and detailed historical tracking, while Nukkit now benefits from a plugin catalog fully integrated into the control panel.

Live statistics and activity history for each service

To keep a close eye on your server’s health without ever interrupting your management flow, Minecraft, BungeeCord, Velocity, and TeamSpeak now feature a dedicated statistics page. It is accessible directly from your service’s console or dashboard with a single click on the Statistics button (marked by a red badge).

The real-time overview gives you all essential performance metrics at a glance: server status, continuous runtime (« Online for »), real-time player traffic, and live system load gauges.

Each gauge immediately informs you about the resources utilized by your instance:

  • Currently connected players compared to configured player slots.
  • Storage space used against the allocated ceiling.
  • Actual processor (CPU) utilization percentage.
  • Dedicated memory (RAM) allocated and consumed, with dynamic color-coding.
  • Instantaneous network traffic, both incoming and outgoing.
  • Disk read and write throughput to monitor storage I/O activity.

These metrics allow you to immediately evaluate the performance impact of a freshly generated world, a resource-heavy modpack, or player spikes during a community event.

Understanding server evolution with historical graphs

Beyond instantaneous monitoring, anticipating your server’s needs requires perspective. The history section compiles all performance measurements across multiple time horizons: the last hour, the last 24 hours, the last 7 days, the last 30 days, or the last year. You can toggle the grid and legend on or off depending on your preference.

For each resource, the curves plot both Average and Peak usage side by side. This dual view is particularly valuable:

  • Spot peak player activity hours to schedule events, maintenance, or automatic server restarts.
  • Track world storage growth and memory trends to prevent performance bottlenecks before they occur.
  • Identify unusual CPU spikes or unexpected traffic surges as soon as they emerge.

A major advantage of this system is its persistence: metrics are continuously aggregated and stored by our infrastructure. Even after a server reboot, an update, or a scheduled maintenance window, your historical data remains intact so you can analyze long-term community trends.

Each page is specifically tailored to its service: Minecraft highlights players and memory, TeamSpeak focuses on connected voice clients and bandwidth, while BungeeCord and Velocity proxies emphasize network traffic distribution.

New catalogs for BungeeCord, Velocity, and Nukkit

Server customization also takes another step forward. Velocity now has its new public plugin catalog, powered by Hangar, while BungeeCord gets its Spiget catalog directly integrated into the BoxToPlay experience.

For Nukkit, the public NukkitX plugin catalog is now available in the control panel. Plugins can be searched, viewed, and installed from the same place, with their dependencies handled when required. The experience is now closer to what is already available for other Minecraft environments.

These catalogs are not limited to the control panel. Their public pages let you browse the available content before creating or configuring a server, then continue through the appropriate installation path on BoxToPlay.

A more direct control panel and streamlined workflows

Information and primary actions have also been reorganized in the control panel to make them easier to identify. The goal is not to change existing habits, but to make current paths more direct, whether you are monitoring a service, finding content, or accessing everyday controls.

This update also includes several stability fixes around Bedrock, Nukkit, TeamSpeak, and service management. They complement the visible additions without changing how your servers are managed day to day.

Together, these changes create a clearer foundation for monitoring, customizing, and expanding your services. Find these new paths in your BoxToPlay control panel.
