SimpleEgg, preserve mob data in spawn eggs

SimpleEgg is a Bukkit and Spigot plugin that lets players capture mobs by throwing an egg at them, then receive a spawn egg containing the creature’s stored properties. When used, the egg recreates a near exact copy, preserving names, variants, taming data, health, equipment, and other supported attributes. The information appears in the item’s lore, making each captured mob easy to identify.

Server owners can configure capture costs using items such as diamonds or Vault currency, while permissions control ownership overrides, stealing, automatic taming, and spawner use. Egg refunds can also be enabled for failed attempts. SimpleEgg is open source but no longer actively maintained, so our BoxToPlay team recommends checking compatibility before using it on a Minecraft server.
